July Highlights

George asks anyone who ordered a t-shirt to please buy it. The chapter has a lot of t-shirts left from the spring fly-in.

Bob Knighton and Hugo Holland showed their RV-9A they have been building the past 5 years. Along with Dave Fortuna, Todd Mallory, and Carlos Brown and a few helpers, they put in over 2200 hrs finishing the partially built plane. Over 1000 hrs was put in to painting the aircraft. The glass cockpit has a Dyen pfd along with 2 GPS’s and a ham radio-APRS (automatic pos. reporting) so anyone can track the AC anytime it flies. Primary flight testing showed a top speed of 200 mph IAS and Hugo says she flies like a dream.
